Read what users think about our software:

"I've been using your great tools to convert CD audio books into MP3 files so my dyslexic son can listen to them on an MP3 player with no moving parts. The tag editor and splitter/joiner make it easy to handle the often chaotic file naming and tagging of ausio book tracks, and the converter was very useful in changing WMA format files into MP3s for joining and tagging.

Adding Files to Database

To work with Media Catalog Studio all you need is to have music and video files on your computer. Files can be added to the database in the following way:

1. Open the window with the list of drives connected to your computer. To do it click button Show disks window in main toolbar.

2. In the new window select disks containing media files. Choose required formats and click button "Scan Disks for Media":

3. For each selected drive a separate window will be opened where you can select the location of the device, enter its description and date. This information will be displayed next time you choose the files – Media Catalog Studio will help to keep your collection under control. If you are sure there is no problem with the drive location you can uncheck option "Show this window next time":

When adding an audio disk to the database Media Catalog Studio can automatically fill in basic (general) fields querying CDDB server in the Internet. By default querying the server starts automatically. If required you can select the "manual request" in the "Settings" window.

Note: You can add media files from selected folder. Just click button "Scan folder for Media" and select folder.
